Power steering Question

Post by jf100 »

I have a 69 F100 I am going to put on power steering from a 71 f-100 My question is do I need the rod that is attached to the power steering box to the rod that steers the front tires? I have every thing else. Thank you for any help that can be passed along.

I'm assuming you're swapping the column, etc, also? Read the section on ptman arms here http://www.fordification.com/tech/str-s ... ations.htm to check if your '69 pitman arm will work on the particular '71 model you're swapping with. There was a change in late '71.

Yeah pitman arm change but don't know if the drag link is different. The Drag link connects the pitman arm to the tie rod. Think that's what he is talking about.
