1972 F250 4x4 value?

Post by knucklejs »

Just picked up a 1972 F250 4x4 Ranger Camper Special- runs, drives, 4x4 works, FE BB engine and 4 speed trans. The truck is a typical Iowa truck- cab rusted out, fender and doors rotten, interior rough, has a flatbed instead of a box, but still pretty cool. I was considering parting it out- curious to know what the demand might be for a running driving 4x4 chassis? Thoughts?

A running rust bucket beat-to-crap version of that in our area would be a minimum of $1500.

Thanks- that's about what I was thinking too. I was told it had 30K miles when he bought it, and has 300K on it now, but I think he was just joking. It actually starts right up, runs smooth, everything even feels tight. I was going to part it out, but maybe I should look into the whole 'street legal' rock crawler idea! 8)

Sell it whole .
What are you going to part out? rusty sheet metal? , ?,a worn drive train ?.
It's worth more together than the parts and your labor.

:yt:

Someone will pony up the dollars for it - and it will save you the aggravation of having parts laying around waiting for a buyer......I don't know about down your way but up here if it says 4x4 in the ad it won't matter how bad it looks - it won't be around long........ :D
