FE 360 engine oil leak on shutdown only

Zero leaks at any other time but when I shut it down it spits a good 2 oz of oil out from around the oil filter like it’s not seated properly. The filter is in tight and if it were cross-threaded in there or something it would leak all the time I would think so for some reason there seems to be an abnormal amount of oil pressure just when I turn the engine off.

It just started doing this about 6 weeks ago. The only potential cause I can think of was that I had one huge backfire out the manifold (before I dunked and rebuilt the carb) that was powerful enough to blow the exhaust gasket on the left side.

Any thoughts?

I have bent pushrods with a backfire on my 460.

Man that is wierd. The only thing I can think of is that the lifters that are under pressure are pushing the oil back. ?????????????????????

Changed the filter, problem solved. I guess I'm conditioned to expect the worst. I have a new question on oil filters now though....
