Re: NP205 frame mount bracket??
There's a bracket... In fact, this bracket was the subject of a Truck Trivia entry back in August.

Just the one bolted to the NP205 that's eventually destined to go into the choptop 4x4. Sorry.

Re: NP205 frame mount bracket??
Pretty simple to build one.
Angle iron, any sort of rubber bushing, a drill, a angle grinder, and a few grade 8 nuts & bolts. Depending on how clocked your t-case is, you won't need to manipulate the angle iron that much.
You can also get pretty elaborate depending on your fab skills. I Have seen guys that put a bushing at each end of some DOM tube and build brackets off the frame. Then they go from the other side and build a new PTO cover and build off it. That way the whole t-case is supported.

I'd be VERY careful if dealing with this guy. He doesn't seem to have the best reputation:

I've also run across threads on other truck-related forums with negative comments. FYI.

Re: NP205 frame mount bracket??
Zakt, If it's any help I've used plenty of mated Ford 205's without the extra t-case mount and haven't had an issue. I'm not sure what the point of that extra mount was. Modern trucks don't use them, older stuff didn't use them, but seamed like the mid-late 70's 4x4's all had them. If you find one great, but if not I wouldn't worry about not having it. Just my

Re: NP205 frame mount bracket??
That is alot of weight to be hanging off the back of the tranny. The main reason for the mount in question is to help with the torque that passes through the t-case. If this truck is going to be used off road I would recommend bracing the 205. I literally ripped my stock crossmember in 3 places on a trail run. That in turn left me stranded in 2 wheel drive becuase there was so much movement in my drivetrain it sheared the bolts on my front output. If it is only street driven and fairly small motor then you are probably fine.

Re: NP205 frame mount bracket??
picked up a NP205 last weekend and it came with the bracket on the t-case side but not the frame side, so should be able to fab something up
