My Midlife Crisis

Post by cowbay »

1969 Ford F100 with 390, 3 speed with overdrive
We picked the truck up down in Martinsville Va. and brought it back up to NY since rust free F100's of this area are a rarity. The drivetrain is tight just needs a brake job. Starting to take it apart for a paint job which will be my company colors purple and white. Ultimately down the road I am going to make it a dual fuel vehicle where it also runs on Natural Gas.

Thanks. Overall not in bad condition. It does have some minor rust, but nothing that can't be fixed.

It is all relative, When compared to being from NY the fact it does not have a one foot by one foot hole in the floor is good. :yt:

Well started sanding the truck down this weekend. As I knew there are some small areas of rust nothing craze. Most found where the lower trim was.

That's a nice looking truck! The lower door area is a common place for rust in our bumps.
You might want to pull the inner door panels off and clean all the debris from the "weep holes" at the bottom of the door, (to make sure the doors aren't holding moisture there).
