Just a quick up date..
finished stripping the cab, Driver side floor is done, passenger fitted just need to weld.
Anywhere I could get like the insides of the cab supports and surfaces that are hidden between layers have been sand blasted and sprayed with a metal etch zinc based weld thru primer.
Once the floors are done I'll be moving to the cab corners which so far has been aggravating due to the crap parts that I've got.. thats another thread...http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... =7&t=68251

No, I haven't given up... Been busy with other things.. Floors are finished..
Cab is back in shop. Just did inner/outer cab corners.. Couldn't make it simple.. Made up a half-a$$ die setfor the press to reproduce the ribs on the inners. The rest hand hammered.. Came out ok..

Looking good. Looking forward to seeing more.

Re: 68 f100 Custom Cab shorty
Anyone still watching? Been a while but still at it, slowly. Been stocking up on parts.
First built a 418cu.in. stroked 390. Ended up selling that. Now .030 over 390 with some extra's.
Did an axle flip along with DJM beams up front. Front disc swap and explorer disc on rear.
Redrilled front to 5 on 4-3/4. Custom Moser axles for rear.
225/75-15 on 15x6 with 3.5" back space up front. Rears are 315/60-15 on 15x10's with 5-1/2" back space.
Doing a 3 to 3-1/2" mini tub. No it's time to get into body/paint work.

Good thread bud! I really like the wheel & tire combo, great stance too.
