'72 F250

Post by Ledsgarage »

I recently bought a 1972 F250 in pretty good condition considering it's age. Still a solid running truck. Has a few things I need to take care of. One thing that I can't seem to figure out is one of the badges on the side of the cowl, just behind the side of the hood. It's a chrome rectangle 6" by just under an inch high that's totally faded out. The truck is a sport custom and I want to know what that used to read so I can find a replacement, if I can. Any help would be awesome. Thanks.

I think that's where the camper special badge is.
1967 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
Another 67 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
2016 F-150 Eco-Boost 2.7 liter. (It will smoke the tires!)
1972 F-350 Sport Custom cab & chassis.
1972 F-250 Explorer Special, Camper Special.
1971 F-100 custom. 302, C-4, p.s. p.b. factory 65 amp alternator with transistorized voltage regulator.

You're right but the only problem is that according to the vin it's not a camper special it's a sport custom. Can you have a camper special sport custom?

New to this generation of f series trucks. Trying to get some more info. I've had a lot of old vehicles but not something I'm trying to keep relatively stock.

:wel: from California! As Busboy mentioned, it should say "camper special" on that emblem. Hope that helps. :fr:
