not for sale! She loves me so much, today i drove a 72 sport Custom it started right up i'm worried about the starter being the key and a button like in a big rig, what makes a p.o. do that?
Any ways when i got back in her she was jealous and i had to show her affection(adjust timing from 8* to 6* and a few other things. then i explained it was only to be sure the co worker would make it home.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Sometimes people put the button starter in when the ignition switch goes bad, rather than replacing it. You can also run a jumper wire from the coil to the battery and start our trucks at the solenoid, without ever using the key or a button. Something to think about as far as the possibility of your truck being stolen goes.

What year did that happen? (moved the key and beefed up the mechanism). I once went with a friend to look at a truck his friend had for sale, I think it was a '67. The friend didn't have his key. They were stunned and amazed when I showed them that we didn't need no stinking key!!!

I think is was '80 when they moved the ignition to the column. My '79 was on the dash, my '84 was in the column. I had parts truck once that I'm 90% sure was an '80 and it was on the column.

I don't intend on selling mine, but if the right offer came along, maybe.

What!? No.....uh uh. My truck ain't goin' no where without me. I have too many memories with mine and it has never let me down, I just couldn't get rid of a member of my family. Extreme family emergency "maybe".
