What's a "Bumpside" or "Dentside"

Post by FORDification »

While browsing these forums, you'll see the terms 'bumpside' and 'dentside' mentioned often. These are slang terms which refer to two different generations of trucks and refer to the truck's beltline contour. The '67-'72 trucks have a convex 'bump' which extends the length of the body, whereas the '73-'79 trucks have a concave indention (or 'dent'). Here's a comparison photo of the two styles.
