well then, we need to come to a consensus. if it is gonna really rain are we doing this? i don't want to drive three hours to not have anyone show up. i will drive my truck in the rain. just no salt or snow. lol. i will keep watching this up until zero hour and if most bow out i will too, but i am a trooper and will roll out if there is still interest.

I am planning on making the trip down with my son and picking up an engine hoist I purchased on craigslist in Springfield. If it all works out we will get our engine hoist and meet some of our fellow bumpheads at the same time. :D See all of you guys at Lamberts Cafe (Ozark, Mo.) this Saturday around 12:00 or 1:00. We won't be in the bump though  we are in the process of resurrecting the ole girl. If anyone is in need of some smaller parts (We will be in the VW Jetta. it's my gas miser) let me know and I will see what we can bring. Thanks

well guys i must bail out due to lack of funds. And the bumps rad won't take the beating of the drive. I can plan a little better and start saving for the branson F100 show in july.

Believe it or not I am preparing to leave in the morning. I may not get too far but what the hell. I need to go to College Station anyway. Ha! I know College Station, TX ain't much closer to Ozark, Mo but I am going to Oklahoma City as well to pick up some gov't auction junk. It's not worth the trip really but I bid on the stuff and feel obligated (actually i am contractually obligated) to pick it up. It's computer monitors. Probably junk.

I'll be suprised as you if I make it to Lamberts! I ran out of time to plan so I'm just gonna grab a few things and hit the road.

Oh, and by the way a gentleman said he had a 4x4 crew cab for sale. It's in St. Louis. If I can get it I don't want anything but the cab. I don't want to haul the whole @#$% thing back to texas. I hope it's a rolling chassis because I ain't got a trailer just a tow bar. I better stop. I am beginning to scare myself. You can have the 4x4 if I get it. I forget what it needs but it's missing the front clip. yep, this is what he wrote, "I have a 1968 crew cab for sale for parts. The cab is fixable. No motor, trans or frontclip."
