steering types definition

i have heard of two types of steerign systems being called this and that. one of the terms i can remember them being called is a push pull type . but i dont remember what the other type was called. could someone tellme the types and what the heck they refer to.

I don't know much about these so i won't try to make up stuff :D
PIctures explain it best, so...
But here is an example of cross-over

and bad picture of push-pull. It isn't very common and isn't a very good way to do steering from what i've read.
I think it's just a single drag link between the two knuckles, and on one end the pitman arm push/pulls the knucle.

the first pic has a red x the second one is too small fo rme to see.

ok i see now. my truck has a cross over system and this 79 at the junkyard must be a push pull type i think. it is a f250 i think. im going junking again tomorrow. so i will see it again.
