:hmm: Are you talking about using braided-steel hoses to replace the stock rubber pieces?

That's what it sounds like, and it's a good upgrade on any vehicle.

Don't know of anyone place right off that will do it for you, but I would suggest finding a shop that works on bigger trucks, specifically one that does custom hydraulic work for dumptrucks and such. If they can't make them for you they may know who can.

Most shops like that around here, however, wont do so, even though they can, because of liability issues. Insurance companies will sue THEM if there is a brake failure that causes an accident, even if it's not the fault of the stainless line. They aren't considered an OEM part.

Skyjacker sells a pretty large selection of braided stainless lines- if you measure the rubber ones, and give them that dimention, they probably have one like that on the shelf, just not labeled for a 2wd.

Let us know what you find out. This is a great upgrade, and makes a major difference in brake feel, especially for old brake lines.

Price point, where you got em` (if you do) and fit ment issues, if any!

Please! :D

yea, the increase in breaking effiecy is the main thing. every car i have (2 rx-7s,prelude and volvo turbo740) has them. that and i figure a breaking system from the 70s and 60s needs all the help it can get

Here are a few links to check out. You'll have to call them to see if they have the hoses for our trucks:

- http://www.classictube.com - They have braided hoses for Broncos and 4x4 trucks. I'd definitely give them a call for 2WD hoses.

- http://www.paragonperformance.com/Dotbrk.html - They don't have any listed for our trucks, but say if you can supply the measurements and/or lines for them to use as a template for fabrication, they'll give you a 50% discount.

You might also just do a Google search for braided steel brake hose. There are numerous online sources for braided hose for motorcyles, and I'd have to think they could easily whip up versions for our trucks, especially if you were to supply them with a set of lines for them to use as a template.

I second Inline Tube, I'm sure they can make them if it isn't a catalog item.
