In a saginaw box am I supposed to use power steering fluid or ATF? I think both fluids are the same but Im not 100% sure.

re: PS fluid
I use power steering fluid only. I've heard from a lot of people that tranny fluid over time will degrade the seals. I always flush it every couple of years to keep it from getting old and overheated. A tranny cooler will work for power steering too to keep the fluid cooler.

re: PS fluid
ATF works better. It won't hurt the seal's. Most of the P/S fluid they
sell is junk. The best stuff to use is the hydraulic fluid they use in tow
truck's to run the bed. JMO.
