P/S Pulley removal

Post by ajsmolik »

How the *?@!! do you get the pulley off the pump? Anybody done this? I spent a little over an hour trying to turn the 3/8" allen in the end of the shaft - is it threaded left or right? No luck.

They make special pullers to take them off. It grips the lip on the pulley around the shaft. They're not too expensive.

No threads just pressed on, I did the same thing until a parts house laughed at me.

Thanks,

I ordered one from harbor freight for $9.99. I figured I couldn't pay to get it done for less, don't have an autozone within 100 miles anyway. Besides, I needed 4 days to sit and think about it.
