Just rebuilt my Bendix PS box... adjustments?

Post by bigdaveb12 »

I just finished rebuilding my Bendix PS box on my '67 F-100. I noticed that there are at least three places to make adjustments on this gearbox. If you look at the Bendix PS diagram, http://www.fordification.com/images/sch ... _small.jpg, you will see parts 372896-S, 373430-S, 3D772, and the allen keyed screw associated with 3D770. My question is what adjustments, if any, need to be made to the rebuilt steering box and what am I looking for in these adjustments?

Of course, the rebuild kit I got from NPD had no instructions and I've spent the last 2 hours trying to find info on any adjusting screws. If anybody has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Barry

"Are you gonna make it all 220?"
"Yeah 220, 221, whatever it takes."
