Finally got a round tuit

Post by flyboy2610 »

and organized my wrenches. I finally got tired of rummaging through the drawer of the toolbox to find the wrench I needed. 1 2x4 piece of pegboard and a couple of hook sets later, and:

The black lines you see across the middle of the hooks are actually these little doohickey's:

My standard wrenches from 1/4" to 7/8" are along the top, metric below that, and my large wrenches (15-16" and up and 20mm and up are at the bottom.
The hook kits came with 6 screws and 6 spacers for mounting the pegboard. I used some heavy duty wallboard fasteners rated for 154 pounds each in 5/8" drywall and the spacers to mount the pegboard. This should make my mechanicing a bit easier.
My flare nut wrenches, open end wrenches, some duplicates, and my really big wrenches are still in the toolbox drawer.
Now, about those sockets.......

This is one of the things I really need to do. I had those black clip thingies but they kept popping off along with the hook. Pissed doesn't describe the reaction to picking up both pieces when it happens.

Looks clean, but it would drive me nuts. I keep my set in the original case. Everything has its place and I don't have to walk back to the wall to put it away/get another size. Guess I'm just lazy.

looks good - I kept popping off the doo-hicky things so I ended up just hitting each hook with a blob from the hot melt glue gun...much better
