Hi Guys,
Asking for a friend.
He is looking into buying a '72 F250.
According to the VIN, it has a 390 (H), and a "4-speed Syn. Warner T-18" 4 Speed Transmission (F).
What does anybody know about these? Is it a good one?
I hear people speak about Top Loaders, etc., but don't really know the scoop on the various 4 Speeds.
He's wanting to pull his hay trailer with it, so it's really important it has a strong transmission.

I've had both and I like the Warner trans. It's actually heavier than the New Process due to it's cast iron top. Very heavy duty.
1967 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
Another 67 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
2016 F-150 Eco-Boost 2.7 liter. (It will smoke the tires!)
1972 F-350 Sport Custom cab & chassis.
1972 F-250 Explorer Special, Camper Special.
1971 F-100 custom. 302, C-4, p.s. p.b. factory 65 amp alternator with transistorized voltage regulator.
Another 67 F-100 4x4 custom cab.
