I do not think that is particularly attractive.

What the hell  . Thats funny. Spent all the time and money just to move a trailer in his yard. :)

That's odd, I wouldn't think that there would be enough room between the frame and cab to even hook up to the king pin, let alone turn the truck with a trailer on it. ...

I had to save those pics....that's one very unique package. I just sent him an e-mail asking for more info and higher resolution pictures. I'll let you know if I hear back from him.

Just to archive the pics and what little bit of info he provided in his ad on Craigs List (in case I don't hear back from him), I'm including them into this thread.
1969 FORD PICKUP WITH FIFTH WHEEL - $950
Date: 2006-03-02, 6:11PM PST

I BUILT THIS TRUCK TO MOVE MY SEMI TRAILER AROUND WHEN IT WAS UNHOOKED FROM MY PETERBILT. ONE TRAILER WAS A CAR CARRIER THAT WEIGHED 23000 AND THE OLD FORD DID OK. MY REEFER WAS 15000 AND IT HANDLED IT EASY. I PUT SEMI AIR BAGS IN THE BACK AND REENFORCED THE FRAME. IT HAS AN AIRTANK TO RAISE THE FIFTH WHEEL UP TO MOVE THE TRAILER. 390. 4 SPEED WITH 4.66 GEARED DANA 60.I BUILT THE WHEEL ADAPTORS AND IT WORKS FINE FOR WHAT IT WAS BUILT FOR. BUT IS NOT FOR HIGHWAY USE!!!!!!! AND NO TITLE. BODY IS DENTED ON THE ROOF AND HOOD. NOT MUCH IN THE WAY OF AN INTERIOR.. JUST A WORKING TRUCK. ALSO HAS POWER STEERING. USE THIS TRUCK AS I DID OR BE THE ONLY ONE ON YOUR BLOCK TO OWN ONE. CALL JIM DE [phone number removed]

I don't know much about tractor trailer wheels/tires, but those alone have got to be worth some fraction of the asking price?

i wonder what size those tires are? 20's they don't look like 22.5. and he said he made wheel adapters for the wheels so it sounds like he didn't change the sindles or king pins at all.

They look like 10.00-18's or 10.00-20's to me (old tire guy here)

Also, the hookups...think he has air brakes on this thing, or are those just for lights?

they are probably for air brakes blue is the safety line color. i think when going down the road you have red and blue one is safety and the other is service.

yo have to supply an air-braked trailer with air to release the brakes in order for it to roll around the yard. I doubt he has a working air brake system on the truck. Just uses the truck brakes, I am sure.
