rear tail light panel

Post by Bob67f100 »

Need some advice on how to remove the passenger side rear tail light panel. My '67 has been previously hit and would like to replace it LMC sells a whole panel which make it look a lot nicer .

I haven't done that specific repair on a bump but I have replaced panels on other vehicles. Basically you have to find all the spot welds and drill them out with a spotweld drill bit (to minimize holes in the panel you are not replacing) and then you will still need an air hammer to finish knocking the panels apart. It is a lot of labor but it is not impossible to do. You may want to watch a few videos about it and see if it is something you want to do.
