headlight adjustment

Post by 67 short box »

anyone else but me have trouble adjusting your headlights? new adjustment screws work fine but as i turn the screw, the tab on the bucket just bends without moving. i have to pull the bucket with my hands to move it. that spring in there is really tight. its only 53 years old! thanks

Just in the last few weeks I have experienced this with the tab bending before the light looks like it's level. The adjuster was almost bottomed out by the time they appeared to be where they should be. I got the LMC adjusters and they fit pretty good into the grill. I reused the original spring. I'm kinda hoping they are pretty close to where they should be. I haven't had a chance to shine the headlights on the garage door to see their level. But I feel it will be pretty close :)
